At Whispering Winds Retirement, we believe independent living should enhance your senior lifestyle through a spacious, full-featured living environment with all the comforts and conveniences you expect. This is why our retirement community in Bend, Oregon offers a multitude of amenities to improve all aspects of your day-to-day life.
We understand that your pets are part of your family. That's why we've extended special amenities to our four-legged friends so they know they are part of the Whispering Winds Retirement family too.
Your small to medium-sized pets are welcome in any of our apartment homes on any floor of our community. We require a small pet deposit when you and your pet move in to your new home. There are no monthly pet fees charged.
We've even created a special area just for the Whispering Winds Retirement pets. Our fully grassed and maintained pet run is located just behind the putting green. Your pets can run and play with other pets or just have a comfortable place to walk or hang out.
Water, clean-up bags, and trash cans are also provided in the pet run for your convenience.
Your pets may also enjoy the nearby park located just half a block from our southeast corner. Whatever their fancy, your pets will find themselves right at home at Whispering Winds Retirement.
Enjoy the newest addition to Whispering Winds Retirement. Our creativity room is open 24/7 for residents and their guests to "create." We offer a wide variety of classes monthly, including crafts, watercolors, acrylic painting, sewing, crocheting, and much more.
Whispering Winds Retirement features an outstanding library loaded with interesting and educational reading and study materials. The comfortable and cozy furnishings and the relaxed atmosphere make this one of the most inviting rooms in our retirement community in Bend, Oregon.
Enjoy your favorite movie or Monday night football with the gang in our comfortable theatre room. Our big-screen television is available for individual watching or group events.
The billiards room at Whispering Winds Retirement features a stylish and fully equipped billiards table, poker table, and casino table. Join our weekly poker group, or invite your friends in for a game or two.
Our community features a large activity room used for a multitude of programs and events, from lectures and presentations to dances and exercise classes. Additionally, we offer two multi-purpose rooms complete with kitchens. These rooms are available for family or group events when not in use by one of our many social groups.
You’ll also find two card/game rooms for your use. Don’t be surprised to find our bridge players, book club, chess club, cribbage players, or Mahjong group regularly using these amenities.
Work on your green thumb in our residents' gardens. Whispering Winds Retirement offers a raised garden bed for anyone interested in planting.
